LMO-2

    Hematopathology
    ZR87 Rabbit Monoclonal

Zeta LMO-2 Antibody.  Zeta’s recombinant rabbit antibody recognizes LMO-2 (LIM-only protein 2), a protein that has a central and crucial role in hematopoietic development and is highly conserved and where inappropriate overexpression in Tcells contributes to T-cell leukemia.

Additionally, LMO-2  has a particular function in normal and lymphatic endothelial cells involving the regulation of angiogenesis and lymph-angiogenesis. Immunohistochemical studies have demonstrated the expression of LMO-2 in both normal germinal center B-cells and germinal center-derived B-cell lymphomas, including follicular lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The use of the LMO2 antibody is valuable as a tool in the identification of lymphomas of B-cell origin. LMO-2 can be helpful in differentiating follicular lymphoma (LMO-2+) from nodal marginal zone lymphoma (LMO-2-). LMO-2 also is positive in Hodgkin s and Burkitt’s lymphomas, and can be used as a germinal center B cell marker.
