Zeta EP-CAM Antibody. Zeta’s recombinant mouse antibody recognizes EP-CAM (Epithelial Cellular Adhesion Molecule), which is expressed on basolateral cell surface in most simple epithelia and a vast majority of carcinomas. EP-CAM is a 40-43kDa transmembrane epithelial glycoprotein, also identified as epithelial specific antigen (ESA). The EP-CAM antibody has been used to distinguish adenocarcinoma from pleural mesothelioma and hepatocellular carcinoma. The EP-CAM antibody is also useful in distinguishing serous carcinomas of the ovary from mesothelioma.
