    Operation/Laboratory Technician
    The Laboratory Technician will report to the Lab director of Zeta Corporation.

    Job Overview: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various activities to ensure smooth operations daily and plays a vital role in monitoring the overall safety of the lab. Laboratory Technician is involved in several aspects of the lab, including but not limited to scheduling instrument & equipment PMs, inventory management, SOPs, and compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform all tasks required for daily order fulfillment, including but not limited to receiving and processing orders, pipetting, vialing, antibody manufacturing, label generation, packing/shipping, returns/complaint handling, and general support.
    • Ensure all reagents and supplies are well-stocked and available.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment performance by establishing and following quality standards, certifying instrument performance, and arranging equipment replacement, PMs, and repair services.
    • Manage product inventories & chemical inventories.
    • Observe laboratory safety and ensure that the laboratory complies with all local, state, and federal regulations. In cases where non-compliance is found, document the instances as well as how they were abated
    • Recommend new procedures, equipment, and process improvements
    • Review and update laboratory protocols and procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with the latest requirements.
    • Ensure that the laboratory is cleaned & sanitized, and kept orderly.
    • Provide administrative and technical support to other staff as needed

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Associates Degree in biological science or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in basic research, clinical, or industry laboratory work (benchtop experience is required)
    • Effective data trending, documentation control, and technical bench skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Solid understanding of the scientific principles
    • Excellent problem-solving, team-building, time-management, and multi-tasking ability
    • Solid understanding of the regulatory requirements
    • Ability to lift > 20 lbs
